Change is so hard.
Technology changes so fast that by the time you get used to one thing, it’s already “old” and no one uses it any more. This is especially hard on those of us who did not grow up in the digital age. We barely understand our kids and grandkids when they talk about what they are into.
Nowadays, our families are far-flung and often send pictures and notes by email, or post to us on their webpages or family forums. They want us to send pictures and emails back. WHAT? We barely know how to turn the computer on and get our email! We know how to look at the websites we’re interested in, too. But after that…. you’ve lost us.
It’s not that we don’t WANT to learn, it’s just that everything is so foreign to us that we can’t understand the basics.
Well, that’s where I come in. I get emails from family and friends all the time asking “how do I…?” and “What does he mean by ….?” I decided to put all I know and don’t know about this newfangled technology and modern living on a website, written in the most basic language I can.
