Robots Working Together
I love living in the future. I think I say this every time something in the modern world amazes and delights me, and I’ve probably said it or will say it several times on these pages. Here is something that amazed and delighted me this week.
A Witchy Tech reader very kindly sent me this article about Honda’s famous “Asimo” robot and its newly shown ability to work in pairs! The two Asimo robots have upgraded software which allows them to be aware of the location of the other and what the other is doing. They even automatically go to a nearby charging station when their power gets low!
My son has been a fan of Asimo for many years. I remember seeing this little white astronaut-looking thing naturally walk on two feet for the first time and was very impressed. This little robot amazed the world a few years ago by climbing stairs.
